How to Mix Portrait and Landscape Pages in One Document

You can switch between portrait and landscape orientation at any page break in the Template Builder. The orientation is sticky - it applies to all following pages until changed by another page break.

How It Works

By default, all pages in a document use the same orientation. You set this in the PDF Rendering Options when creating or editing your flow.

With mixed page orientation, you override this default at specific page breaks. Each page break can carry an orientation instruction that changes the layout for all pages that follow it.

This means you can start with portrait pages for a cover letter or invoice, then switch to landscape for wide data tables - all in the same PDF.

Step-by-Step Setup

Open your template in the Template Builder
Insert a page break between your portrait and landscape sections (or click an existing one)
In the properties panel on the right, find "Orientation after this break"
Select "Switch to Landscape" (or "Switch to Portrait")
A blue badge "page break - landscape" appears in the editor
Save and generate - the pages before the break stay portrait, pages after switch to landscape
